Food Sunday
Posted on | September 20, 2009 | No Comments
Another food sunday. I went to 2 makan places today, iluma and suntec.
Went to Xin Cafe at iluma for lunch with Jas. It situated at the other corner of the cinema level (Level 5). Another Banquet outlet. Currently there are discount offers on their Dim Sum. The service standard is good. My recommendation includes claypot rice, siew mai and ice blended yuan yang, rating 7.5/10.
In the evening, I decided to try out Ya Zhou Café – Korean Cusine at Suntec City B1 (#B1-058A). The prices are quite competitive with no service charge. Since no service charge, means that we need to make the order at the counter and serve ourselves. The cashier service is quite bad; she just slided the side dishes towards me. I was thinking if she were to use a bit more force, the kimchi and ikan bilis will be on me.
As for the dishes, we ordered
- Fried Chicken Chop Ra-Myeon (with Kimchi and Ikan Bilis)
- Chicken Cutlet Ra-Myeon (with Kimchi and Ikan Bilis)
- Baby Octopus
- 2 Lime Juice
The food is OK, quite like the taste of the baby octopus. However, the overall setup of the shop and service really sucks. The dish collection point is a bucket beside one dinning table, quite unsightly. There is no service at all, the waitress came over and cleared the plates without consulting our consent.
