iPod Touch 1hour battery life
Posted on | October 6, 2009 | No Comments
My first generation iPod Touch declares her death date drawing near.
The battery life has being shortened to mere an hour, without any application running besides the music player. The wireless network detection is also off. I have fully charged the device before I left home; after an hour of bus journey, the battery icon indicator is “red”, with a message “20% battery remaining”.
I am pondering whether this is due to iPod OS 3.0, as i recently did an upgrade. The device is working fine before the upgrade; I am able to listen to music, play games and read news, with more than 40% of battery left at the end of the day.
Probably, my iPod Touch First Gen (old hardware) cannot handle the battery intensive features of OS 3.0.
