Series of accidents

An astounding day for me; I saw a total of 3 traffic accidents during my journey to and fro. Quite surprised that Singapore roads are actually so dangerous.

In the morning, I was stuck in jam along Upper Paya Lebar road. I was thinking what causes the traffic build up, as there is not much traffic flow in normal days. Then I saw Traffic Police (TP) on the filtering lane, apparently, there was an accident. Someone was badly injured and the lady driver was trying to explain the situation to the TP.

Then along Bartley Road, there is a SMRT cab stationary on the 2nd fast lane; looked like engine failure, which caused another traffic build up. I just cannot understand why drivers are inconsiderate, if you know that your car has problems, you should have moved to the side of the road and placed triangle sign to indicate car trouble.

The other accident happened in the evening, I was driving along Bukit Timah stretch when I saw a Toyota MPV has its back teetering over the road divider railing. I supposed the impact of the accident was huge enough to caused the vehicle to swirl and hit the railing on its back.

The last accident happened in Toa Payoh Ave 5, besides the food market. I was driving out of the car park after having supper with Jas, then I saw this van stopped on the main road blocking the traffic; didn’t know it was an accident, until I saw debris on the road and the driver was quarreling with someone. I count myself lucky, as I parked at another car park. If I were to park  at the main food market car park, I will be one of the victims stuck in the jam.

What a day…
