The all new Nexus One by Google, officially launched in US on 5 Jan 2010. It is a cool must have gadget, packed with heavy weighted widgets.

Comparing with iPhone 3GS, Nexus One has/is

4GB storage expandable to 32GB
7-hours 3G Talk Time as compared to iPhone 5-hours
5-MP Camera and Video as compared to iPhone 3-MP
MultiTasking Capability that iPhone lacks
Thinner than iPhone
Big screen 3.7in compared to iPhone 3.5in

The downside of Nexus One is limited range of apps (widgets) available in Android Market.

Standard features include:

Bluetooth 2.1 Connectivity
GPS Features activated by digital Compass
Voice Commands

Google Map Street View

Google Map Street View is officially in Singapore!

It is an enhancement to the existing Map, Satellite and Terrain view. By clicking street man icon, you are able to navigate the street view highlighted in blue.

Although it is a great cool feature with high quality image display, there are errors in the accuracy of street display. For instance, roads that run above and underground like KPE will not be able to display correctly. The photos taken are not consistent, some of the photos are updated recently while some are 4 years old.

On a whole, I love this great feature provided by Google Map.

New Google Chrome

Being using Chrome most of the time now, as it is fast to start up and load pages on the fly. Internet Explorer and Firefox are taking quite long to load due to the heavy weighted widgets/plugins. Chrome has also patched their crash bugs making it more stable than Internet Explorer.

The newly added theme feature allows user to customized the look and feel of chrome.

To date, I feel that Chrome is one of the best browsers, that contains the key features a web browser needs.
