As an iPod user, i have preference for Google Video over YouTube as Google Video provides “Download video – iPod/PSP” option. Although both YouTube and Google Videos belong to Google, this option only appears in the latter.

Google should start adding this option on YouTube for ease of use, as there are lots of iPod users do not have a decent wireless access.

The alternative to convert YouTube video to iPod format is using Online FLV converter

Went to Mobile Square to buy moshi ipouch for Jas iPod Touch 2G.

Comparing prices given by epicentre and the other apple dealers, I decided to purchase from Mobile Square for S$39, than S$49 at the other shops.

Besides, upgrading iPod OS firmware using iTunes, you can also install the upgrade using ipsw file (Windows Version). The following is a simple guide to install the upgrade:

Update iTunes to latest version
Connect iPod (Nano/Touch), create data backup.
On iTunes side bar, select your iPod.
Press and hold “SHIFT” and click Restore.
Locate the *.ipsw file to start the upgrade process.
Follow the iTunes instructions.
